26 June -17 July: How to Use Arduino and make crazy things happen with code and electronics at TWSU HQ

7PM to 9:30PM.

What could be better than spending time learning about Arduino, the favorite open source hardware hacking platform for designers, artists and hobbyists.
Join us Technology Will Save Us for 4 consecutive evening workshops to get you started. Aimed at anyone and everyone who wants to learn the basics of Ardunio, simple electronics and building interactive projects.

This is an introductory level course for beginners.

Over the four weeks we will give you an introduction to physical computing, interaction design, hardware hacking and the emergence of the wonderful Arduino phenomenon.

26 June: Make a Plant Thirst Detector at Rough Trade East

7PM to 9PM.

Have you ever wanted to know when your plants are thirsty? Wouldn’t it be grand if they would turn a little light on to tell you when they were dry? Join us for a workshop where you will make your own sensor, and your own electronic circuit to tell you when your thirsty plant needs attention.

27 June: Make a DIY Synth at House of Wolf

7PM to 9PM.

Do you love sound? Have you always wanted to build your own audio electronics?

TWSU has teamed up with House of Wolf in Islington a multi-functional, multi-sensory pleasure palace, dedicated to the creative pursuits of dining, drinking, art and entertainment to bring you a new workshop experience. Still our great hands on tech workshops but with the added bonus of great experiemental cocktails and drinks.

You will be using basic circuitry to create an amazing DIY electronic synth to impress your friends and make sweet music. You will get a great introduction to electronics and the components that make up most of the technology in our lives.
